There are many things about opera mini which many of us are not aware of. Well, the main function of the browser is to surf internet faster than the web-browser. But yet, there are somethings i will touch which i believe its giving many people that dont know about it problem. I will like to start with installation of opera mini.
HOW TO INSTALL ALL VERSIONS OF OPERA MINI EASILY
<get internet configuration settings from your NETWORK PROVIDER>
Download any cast or labs handler opera and put this default settings to custom HTTP server
=> http://server4.operamini.com:80
Then in the custom SOCKET server, put
=> socket: //server4.operamini.com:1080
* Mark/Tick {remove port from URL}
Lastly, in the host, put your network provider homepage.
For glo,
wap.gloworld.com
For MTN
wap.mtnonlineplay.com
For ETISALAT
wap.mobile.etisalat.com.ng
For Airtel
wap.ng.airtellive.com
When all these are done, you are good to go!
HOW TO CHANGE THE DEFAULT SPEED DAILS
<when you have successfully intalled the opera> You will see list of websites, e.g Opera Community, facebook, BBC, CNN e.t.c (BASE ON OPERA 4.2 NON LABS HANDLER). They are speed dails.
To Customize it one after the other,
Press #2 or click on Bookmarks>> Speed Dail>> it'll list them. Just press Manage>> Edit[NOW CUSTOMIZE IT TO YOUR OWN DESIRED WEBSITE] i.e, to change Opera Community, >#2>Speed Dail>Manage>Edit> Title= Jaycode> Address= www.freebrowsing.heck.in)))* (if i need icon, i would click on Fetch Icon. Opera would automatically bring the icon of the website). Now Save it and press back. You will see what you have just customized. Use the steps for opera labs handler.
HOW TO BROWSE WITH YOUR OPERA WITH HOTTEST SPEED
Press #1>> type http:
//www.opera.com/
portal/turbo/
OR
Press #1> Type> opera:config > Press Go.
It will load a page, scroll down to LOADING TIMEOUT, change the 30 to 3600 and save it.
HOW TO UPLOAD ALL APPLICATIONS WITH OPERA MINI 4.2 CAST/LABS HANDLER
Firstly, if you want to upload jar apps, rename the app to .jar1 assuming you are trying to upload opera. Just rename it to opera.jar1(blueftp /explore]
Now lunch your opera4.2 cast/labs handler,
Press menu, > Tools> Settings> Handler Menu> open it, you'll see Upload with .jar1> tick/mark it, after that, SAVE IT and Upload your app without stress.
HOW TO HIDE SAVED PAGES ON OPERA
To hide your saved pages on your browser i.e OPERA MINI, Open your opera-mini, goto saved pages Press manage, Set a folder. Means where you want it to be. Now Save the desired page.(the page you want to hide) you can hide this "tutorial page"[for you to test it]. Remember the location. And when you want to hide, simply change the location.
To hide finaly, NOW LUNCH YOUR BLUEFTP Locate the folder, open it, you will find all the saved pages their. I.e 36845593.obml Press 9. Then mark hidden and save it. That's the simple trick. To open it, press 9 and unmark, then save it.
